Gathering@6
Join us at 6pm most Sabbaths on Zoom for a small informal evening service based around discussion and sharing.
Woden Valley Uniting Church is a constant bustle of activity, both in the building itself and in the wider community - this page covers the social groups run by members within our church.
All of these groups are welcome to any and all that want to come along - there is no need for you to be a member of our church, or a Christian for that matter! The groups listed on this page are focused on the people that come along, and about the practical, ways that WVUC is involved with the wider Curtin community, or providing causal forums for discussion of theological topics
If it was our Sunday Service or a bible study group you were looking to join, please check our Worship Services page.
Network Lunches |
|
At Woden Valley Uniting Church we strive to be loving, compassionate and steadfast in our relationships with each other. To foster this, we organize various social gatherings during the year.
A regular event held is our Network Lunch – this monthly social gathering, which is open to all, is held at a local venue such as the Hellenic Club, or Snapper on the Lake. For details of the next get together, contact Helen hsahhar@bigpond.com

Friday Coffee 'n' Chat |

10.30 – noon every Friday. All welcome. A time to share freshly brewed coffee - or tea, - and chat.
Anyone and everyone is welcome no matter if you just want to pop in briefly, or stay until the end (midday) or anything in between!
WVUC Garden Group |
|
The church’s garden group looks after the extensive gardens as well as the grassed and treed areas around the church property. We have regular working bees – usually the second Saturday morning in the month - when we mow, weed, prune, plant and nurture as well as do small handyman jobs around the property.
In recent years we have participated in Community Floriade, organised in Curtin by the local garden group; along with our neighbour the Church of the Good Shepherd, we plant tulips and annuals in the garden beds facing the Curtin shops.
We enjoy working and planning together and value the opportunity working bees provide for conversation and friendship. We make sure there is ample time for a generous morning tea.
New members to the group are very welcome. For more information contact secretary.wvuc@gmail.com |

Wine, Cheese and a Theologian |
Leader gives a brief introduction on why this theologian or thinker is important to them. The discussion then proceeds to the contemporary relevance of those thoughts and impact - to us in Australia, to society, to the church or to our personal lives.
