Worship Services

Jesus practised radical inclusion!

Woden Valley Uniting Church welcomes all, regardless of age, race, creed, gender, cultural background or sexual orientation.

Regular Weekly Service:

10am Sunday morning

Sunday morning “in-person” worship, our main service, is held at 10 am in the Main Hall. You don't have to dress in any particular way, and you can sit anywhere you like; there are no 'reserved' or 'usual' seats.

The services are broadcast live via Zoom.

You will find in this service familiar elements of a Uniting Church service of worship with a message, prayers and hymn singing. Passing of the Peace is always practised. We usually sing a Psalm. We value Biblical scholarship and progressive Christian theology. Participation of members of the congregation in the service, for example in leading prayers, is encouraged.

At the end of the service we may share joys and concerns. For those gathering in person, there is morning tea/coffee following the service.

Communion is offered on the 4th Sunday of the month. If you are joining the morning service on Zoom, you are encouraged to have some bread and juice or wine on hand in order to participate in the sacrament at the appropriate time.

Interested in Leading A Service?
Help needed for Worship Team!

As we move into a year when we do not yet have a Minister, congregation members are responsible for providing 100% of the services. As there is currently only a small number of people currently trying to cover all the empty places in the roster, they are currently stretched beyond capacity to try to cover all the services.

For anyone that has decided to lead a service, but who might not have done it before, we're working on collecting resources to help you plan and run services.
