WVUC Community
At Woden Valley Uniting Church we strive to be loving, compassionate and steadfast in our relationships with each other. To foster this, we organize various social gatherings, which happen on either a weekly or monthly basis - see the pages below for more information.
Social Meetups |
At Woden Valley Uniting Church we strive to be loving, compassionate and steadfast in our relationships with each other. To foster this, there are many regular meetups and social events that happen at WVUC.
No matter if you're looking causal chatting over morning tea, listening to a speaker share their knowledge on a particular topic, or sharing lunch with community, Woden Valley Uniting Church is the centre point for a constant bustle of activity, both in the building itself and in the wider community!
Small Worship Groups |
If you'd like to join our more informal evening service, or our meditation group, see these following pages for more information on how to join - no prior knowledge required, all are welcome to come along if interested!
Both Gathering@6 on Sunday evenings, and the Monday meditation group, are run through Zoom.
Gathering@6
Join us at 6pm most Sabbaths on Zoom for a small informal evening service based around discussion and sharing.
Meditation Group
Join us Mondays on Zoom at 5.30 pm for a reading, music, and mediative quiet.
Activities and Groups |
The members of Woden Valley Uniting Church see supporting our local community, and providing a place for connections to be built, as one of our primary missions. Due to this, Woden Valley Uniting Church is a constant bustle of activity, seeing it's never dull!
These groups range from talks and shared meals, to the ones run by U3A on Mondays and Tuesdays, to the many different dance instructors who keep most afternoons and evenings lively with music, to those who come along looking to get in motion with one of our many exercise groups.
Social Justice and Our Community Involvement |
While WVUC does not run programs as such, its members are actively involved in many aspects of social justice and environmental activism. WVUC encourages its members as they are active in social justice activities, making the following a living part of their Christian journey:
Fearless in advocacy and energetic in action in support of social justice, reconciliation, peace and wise environmental stewardship, locally, nationally and globally.
